A Resource Manager is responsible for facilitating the resource allocation process, billable utilization of the office staff, identification of new resource needs and the procurement of contractors for long and short term needs.
The resource manager is the driving force behind keeping the teams billable and matching the right talent with the task at hand to deliver great work.
Skills, Requirements & Responsibilities
Proficient in MS Project, Excel
Monitor, manage and analyze utilization
Excellent negotiation skills
Staffing agency management
Ability to understand the resource needs of the discipline leads and vet potential candidates against those requirements
Ability to identify, communicate and resolve resourcing issues
Conduct and lead the weekly resource meeting
Work collaboratively with cross discipline teams of various levels of seniority
Lead and organize efficient meetings
Onboard and offboard new contractors and staff members
Identify new fulltime and freelance roles
Understands the work and tasks at hand
Working understanding of budget and P&L management
Ability to synthesize data into easy to understand, digestible information
Highly organized, friendly, positive attitude, solution oriented, clear and concise communicator, strong problem solving skills, not afraid to speak up, confronts problems head on, confident to ask questions to fully understand the situation and task at hand.
Prior experience as a digital producer, project manager or resource manager required
3-5 years' experience working in project or resource management
Experience developing and analyzing utilization reports
Experience consulting with discipline leads and office leads to optimize the staffs utilization for profitability
