The Role

The Director of Strategy will lead the strategic thinking for one of Organic’s financial services clients. This position plays a critical role within the account to identify, drive and track the trajectory of the client brand through omni-channel, journey-based, digital-first brand experiences. Critical to this role is the ability to work with client services, creative, media, and analytics to solve client problems and inform unexpected creative solutions.

About You

You develop and manage always-on, real-time customer experience solutions that will be game changing for the client’s business. You use data-driven insights to map user journeys and inform / inspire the development of new customer experiences and interactions with a brand. You have strong command of communications planning and channel planning to bring a campaign to life.

You foster an environment of collaboration and partnership with strong relationships with media, analytics, creative, and client services. You will champion the customer in everything that we do through empathy and have in-depth understanding and knowledge of our clients’ brand and their audience through customer data. You develop audiences, strategies, and creative briefs to generate insights for brand and experience planning across the entire customer journey.

You work closely with Creative teams to challenge and strengthen the work throughout development. You partner with the Media team to ensure the media plan is on-strategy and in harmony with the creative direction. You will positively impact the creative product through unexpected, data-driven insights, business acumen and cultural inspiration.

You always stay on the pulse of the competitive and cultural landscape to inform actionable strategic moves in real-time. You design and perform test plans to ensure the success and optimization of the work. You are able to work closely with all Client and Agency teams to develop, drive and govern the client briefing process. You support key clients in their business planning to frame business context, objectives and KPIs, and then translate them into brand and marketing KPIs.

You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • 8+ years related experience
  • Proven critical thinker and problem solver above all else
  • Prior experience in the financial services category
  • Classical brand planning expertise, yet with a digital-first mindset
  • A true brand expert with knowledge and experience building brands through experience
  • Prior experience in journey mapping and successfully developing always-on real time customer experience solutions that have been game changing for your client business.
  • Prior experience and masterful ability to generate rich and actionable insights from multiple sources of data
  • Strong knowledge in qual/quant research methodologies, including always-on brand tracking
  • Familiarity with data science and audience development is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of CRM and 1-to-1 marketing.
  • An understanding of social and content in building and strengthening a brand/brand experience as well as fostering dynamic interactions with customers
  • An openness and understanding of new forms of innovations (e.g. AI, machine learning, Internet of things, or IOt etc.)
  • Curious and open-minded leader and has a proven track record for working in a multidisciplinary collaboration environment.
  • Excited by business transformation beyond advertising and demonstrates high level of industry engagement.
  • Pursues and enjoys a steep learning curve
  • Confidence in meeting with clients/agency to discuss and recommend strategic solutions.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve many jobs simultaneously, quickly, calmly and efficiently.
