Project Manager/Delivery Manager

The Role

We have an immediate need for a Project Manager to oversee a customer experience workstream on for a high-profile Omnicom client in the automotive industry.

The Delivery Manager (project manager) leads and manages from kickoff to delivery medium-sized engagements and helps ensure overall client satisfaction, quality of service, and on-time, on-budget completion of the agency’s services. The Delivery Manager is everyone’s point person for the project. Clients and internal team members rely on the DM for everything they need to know about a project – what to expect, what to do next, and how they need to do it. DMs are also client-facing relaying information about timing, scope and changes to the project team.

About You

  • Works with capability leads to clearly define project scope and deliverables
  • Applies understanding of project management methodologies that include waterfall and sprint-based/agile management to project planning
  • Develops and negotiates integrated project plans with all necessary details, including proactive resource management
  • Ensures clear prioritization for team and organizes tasks and timelines accordingly
  • Ensures team members are clear on deliverables and timelines and any concerns are communicated and resolved
  • Leads stand up and hot sheet inputs and distribution
  • Updates resource allocation tool
  • Leads internal and client meetings and drives to decisions
  • Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of project management and methodologies and evaluates process on an ongoing basis
  • Recognizes when a project is at risk and proactively develops solutions and proper escalation
  • Work expertly under pressure and comfortable with change and managing multiple projects at various stages
  • Demonstrates exceptional active listening skills to anticipate, identify and react to client and agency needs, opportunities and issues
  • Is in command of the audience and turns presentations into a constructive dialogue moving the group to conclusions; anticipates a question and is prepared to respond appropriately; uses a variety of presentation styles
  • Can work effectively in large, cross-functional, or interagency teams. Actively seeks opportunities to document and share new ideas and client successes

Financial Responsibility/Level of Impact

  • Builds and updates weekly reports and provides analysis on project health
  • Provides input for monthly percent complete and forecast
  • Supports Delivery director with developing project estimates
  • Alerts leadership in case of a financial risk

What You Need

  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Automotive industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet project management tools preferred
